Of Sunshine and Estimated Snow
Glorious, warm, yellowy sunshine today! A haze of green on fields where the rye has started. Plowing is only weeks away now. It's going to be a good year for arrowhead hunting. I'll check with some of the local farmers for permission soon.
A promise that the Days of Grey are limited. A teasing invitation to daffodils. So far, the snow drops know better. Perhaps the crocuses warned them after getting their own premature sprouts singed when January's thaw gave way to ice.
Today provided the energy necessary to face the rest of winter. Good thing because more snow is due tonight.
