It's A F%#$ing Winnah Wundahland!

Our county is a federal disaster area. The storms that cruised through on the Wednesday and Thursday before Christmas resulted in power outages that continue even through today. Crews from 13 states (some as far as South Carolina and Texas) are here trying to get the power back up.

We were blessed beyond measure in that our power was only out for 12 hours. The farms adjacent to our place experienced a similar outage. Everyone else around us is still out.

On the plus side, the ice and snow were gloriously beautiful even as they decimated trees, buildings, plants, and adorned roadkill. Everything's got an upside, even if it's only upside yo' head.

Christmas was outstanding at our place. My brother brought his family down and joy reigned. More blessings. More gratitude. More love.

And that is what I wish for each of you in the new year, and forevermore.
